HUTTON’S DELANO OFFICE BUILDING IS AN INVESTMENT IN ITS WORKFORCE

Hutton, for once, is building for itself.

The long-time Wichita construction company that’s building some of the most recognizable projects underway in Wichita will start to go vertical soon with its new Delano headquarters.

“Usually we get to work with other clients and help them build their dreams,” said CEO Ben Hutton. “We got to ask ourselves, ‘What would a perfect office look like for us?'”

Ground work has already started on the two-story, 24,000-square-foot building near the roundabout at Douglas Avenue and Sycamore Street. Hutton recently pulled a $5-million building permit for the project at 111 N. Sycamore. That’s on the fringes of the Delano catalyst site, a future mixed-use development near the Advanced Learning Library. Notice of the building permit will appear in the next weekly edition of the Wichita Business Journal.
