CHS

The CHS refinery in McPherson, Kan., has a refining capacity of 100,000 barrels-a-day. That takes a lot of industrial equipment and maintenance. Hutton has had a continued presence at the refinery since 2013 and has worked to build new structures and systems.

WORKIN’ ON THE RAILROAD

One major project was the construction of five miles of railroad track. The track allows the refinery to store more than double its current amount of petroleum coke in rail cars before delivering to customers.

FIREPROOFING

Fireproofing is vitally important for any facility, but protecting against fire in a refinery is always at the forefront of everything they do. Hutton continues to work to fireproof the steel support beams and pipe racks throughout the refinery.
