KOCH FERTILIZER
Koch Fertilizer makes a significant and continued effort to ensure their facilities are upgraded to keep their people safe. At four of their plants across four states, they needed to build blast-rated control buildings. To do so, they needed a partner with industrial construction experience. They turned to Hutton, who has proven experience working within the fence of fertilizer plants and refineries.
INCREASED EFFICIENCY
The four buildings, though in unique locations, share similarities. Each was built to increase efficiency at the site and to support control rooms that serve as the heart and brains of the plant. The buildings also include offices, locker rooms, labs, maintenance areas and conference spaces.
RAPID EXPANSION
Hutton worked under the design build delivery method with their architect to quickly plan and build the facilities. Each was constructed of pre-cast concrete and completed between May 2011 and June 2014. Four locations, nearly 100,000 square feet in total, in three years.
